Confirmation
About This Sacrament
Confirmation completes Baptismal grace and strengthens us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through the anointing with Sacred Chrism, the confirmed are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with special strength to spread and defend the faith.
- Schedule
Confirmation is celebrated annually by the Archbishop. Preparation begins in September.
- Requirements
- Must be baptized Catholic
- Typically administered to those 14 years and older
- Completion of Confirmation preparation program
- Selection of a Confirmation sponsor
